Harrison Ford Apparently Jonesing to Kill Indy
Edsel Bryant Ford wants Indiana Jones to die, Lucas wants him to live, and Steven Spielberg hasn't ready-made up his mind yet.
Insider sources are suggesting that Harrison Ford thinks that his second most picture character reference, archaeologist/explorer Indiana Jones, should not survive a fifth Indy movie.
Supposedly, Edsel Bryant Ford is keen that his character should pass his hat and whip on to a successor – likely to equal the character of Mutt, portrayed by Shiah LaBeouf – and past shuffle off his mortal coil. Lucas plain hates the idea, and Spielberg is said to beryllium considering it. Plainly this is just rumor, but Ford has said in the past that atomic number 2 wished Han Alone had died in Return of the Jedi, so there's no reason he couldn't aver the similar thing about Indiana Jones.
It won't make up the firstborn time Lucas has been reluctant to kill off extraordinary of Ford's characters either. Han was originally hypothetic to die in the middle of the movie, but Lucas sought-after to conserve merchandising revenues, so had the script rewritten to keep all the rationale characters alive. It's not practically of a stretch to reckon that his "Harrison-Ford-must-survive" policy extends to the Indiana Jones movies too.
The next Indiana Jones movie is supposedly set in the Bermuda Triangulum, with LeBeouf as the moving picture's star. These are retributory more rumors though, so make Eastern Samoa much or as pocket-size of them as you will.
